Thanks for the many responses we received from our picture post. Many asked what was up so I wanted to post an update for those that have asked and/or those that were curious but didn’t ask. My lovely wife, Susan, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer about 3 months ago.
The good news it she was diagnosed at stage 1C so her chances for a full recovery are better than 80%. She was diagnosed through the biopsies that were taken during an arthroscopic surgery to remove her ovary that had the tumor. Going into the outpatient surgery all signs indicated it was benign so it was shocking when we were called back into the doctor’s office a few days later to be told it was malignant.
She quickly underwent a complete open hysterectomy where another 15 to 16 biopsies were sent off for complete pathology reports which all came back negative. The recovery process from the hysterectomy is 8 weeks. She has completed the recovery process from her surgery and has begun her 6 cycle, 3 weeks each cycle, chemo treatments.
Although the doctors are confident they removed all of her cancer in the initial arthroscopic surgery the chemo is a “just in case” measure that the specialists and us feel is needed. We have 1 down and 5 more to go with her next one this Thursday. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Tanya & Terri’s father had kidney transplant surgery a week and a half ago. Going through the VA he had to be flown to Iowa City for the surgery. He is recovering nicely and should return home in the next few weeks.

Folks our Uncle Doyle Crain just passed last Wednesday 2/18/2009 while at St. Francis hospital. He was in for a heart procedure and while he was there his kidneys started to fail and they could not perform the procedure. After almost two weeks he was released and while preparing to go home he started having heart pains and passed away in his room.
Our uncle Doyle gave the last years of his life to his prison ministry “Who You are in Jesus” traveling all over Oklahoma to spread the great word of God to prisons and those in need.
Doyle was 75 and left behind his lovely wife Violet Crain of which just had her 76th birthday yesterday 2/24/2009. Yesterday at the service at Floral Haven two pastors and good friends of Doyle’s gave us their determination to keep Doyle and Violets ministry alive.
If you want to contribute to a great cause you can do so at our late Uncle Doyle’s Ministry called “Who you are in Jesus”

Terri went back to work today for the first time in a month and she is doing great!
Tanya is doing Great as well and if everything stays on track she anticipates going back to work soon!

Susan and I just got back from the Ophthalmologist and found out she has…Iridocyclitis, a type of anterior uveitis, is a condition in which the uvea of the eye suffers inflammation. You can learn more about her condition by going to…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iridocyclitis. The medication she was prescribed is not stocked at the pharmacy (the doctor told us this would probably be the case) so Long’s Drug has ordered it and hopefully we will be able to pick it up tomorrow and she can get started on her road to recovery. The doctor told us it is not contagious and she could go back to work tomorrow if she felt like it. She is scheduled to see the Ophthalmologist next Tuesday, December 2nd for a follow up visit. Please keep Susan in your prayers.
Thanks,
Floyd Jr.

Hi Folks,
Tanya and Terri are doing great…BTGOG
Terri was released today from her doctor and he even said that she could go hunting and no she is not from Alaska even though part of her family is
and no they are not related to Sarah although we support her efforts.
Tanya is still under close observation as the docs still have a way to go when it comes to her meds! They are having to run blood tests daily to try and balance them out. However overall she is doing great other than climbing the walls she is starting to learn to deligate so that is a huge step
Thanks for all your continued prayers and support!

Hi Folks,
Tanya is doing great she is resting at home as much as possible. If you know her it will be hard to keep her in the house for more than a couple of days and yet it is supposed to be for 30 days or so and by then she will be experiencing major cabin fever at least that is my opinion. At this point the daily trip to the doctor is the highlight of her day!
Thanks again for all your prayers and support!
