Floyd & Marilyn Update…

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:32 pm by Al Rosson

Marilyn is a little anxious today and has some pain so the nurse Brooke was kind enough to give her some pain medication while I was there. She was resting when I left. Also, Dad was sitting up in a side chair and looked much better today. He seemed to be a lot calmer now that he knows Marilyns surgery went well and she is on the road to recovery from the surgery.

Thanks for your continued support and prayers!

Dad is moving to a new room today

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:18 pm by Floyd Rosson Jr.

I just got a call from St Francis. They are moving Dad right now to a new room within the hospital. He will be in Room 4128, Respiratory Unit, 4 West. You will need to use the green elevators.

Since this is a specific unit for respiratory illness his care should be more specific to his rehabilitation needs.

I will probably not be back in Tulsa to visit them till after the first of the year.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support and prayers.

Dad & Marilyn are both in stable condition and doing ok considering their status…

Marilyn was out all afternoon from 1-on having prep work done before her surgery this coming Thursday. Marilyn’s Sister Chris is here from St. Louis and she will be here for the next few days to help get Marilyn through her surgery. According to Tamara her nurse she is doing well, stable and resting.

Dad’s surgery has been moved to next Tuesday December 11th 2007 as Dr. Cole wants to give him a chance to heal from his UTI before his surgery.

Also, they are both in ICU and you do have to wear protective gowns and gloves for visiting.

Visiting times for Marilyn anytime except shift change from 6-8 a.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Dad can be visited anytime…

Thanks again for your continued support & prayers!!!

Marilyn & Floyd Visit 12-3-07

Stopped by to see Marilyn and was not able to see her as it was shift change and it takes 2 hours to do this.  6-8 is shift change and they are pretty strict with it.  I will get up to see Marilyn earlier this evening.

Went to 6th floor to see Floyd and Chris, Marilyn’s sister was there visiting.  Floyd was in good spirits he was cutting up with the nurses and in a good mood.  He said that he hopped to have his gall baldder surgery this week.

You have to wear gloves and a gown to go in and see both Marilyn and Floyd.

Dad & Marilyn are both in stable condition at St. Francis Hospital this morning. Marilyn is still in ICU on the 3rd floor and Dad is on the 6th floor in room 6106.

Rachel Marilyn’s nurse just got word that her surgery has been moved to Thursday as of now as long as she stays stable and suitable for her surgery. It appears that Dad will not be having surgery this Wednesday and it has not been determined as to when that will happen as of yet. They are trying to clear all infections before proceeding!

I will keep the Blog updated once I have an update!

Thanks for your continued support & prayers…

Floyd & Marilyn Update…

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:38 pm by Al Rosson

Dad has now joined Marilyn in St. Francis Hospital Tulsa, OK

This morning I called to arrange picking up Marilyns speaking valve while stopping by to see dad. Unfortuntely I was informed that Dad had also been admitted to St. Francis due to having a fever, blood pressure and breathing issues early morning around 2:0 a.m. .  I proceeded to Inola and picked up Marilyns speaking valve and then back to St. Francis to see her & Dad. Marilyn seemed in good spirits and was resting. She wanted to see if we could arrange for her and Dad to be in the same room. Leslie her nurse said she would check with the Doctor and staff to find out if that was possible. In talking with Leslie this evening she indicated after looking at the surgery chart that she did NOT see Marilyn scheduled and was going to try to find out when that would be happening. I spent some time with dad as well this afternoon and he is stable and currently on the 6th floor in room 6106 . He was stable but tired also seemed in good spirits considering. Stephanie his nurse was not aware of his surgery and due to the fact that he and Marilyn have a case of pnemonia and infections no one is sure as to when they will be having their surgeries. I will continue to update you as the updated information is available.

Thanks again for your continued prayers and support!
