I called to check on Marilyn tonight and tell her hi. I spoke with her nurse Stephanieand she said that Marilyn was doing well considering and that she is continuing to get a little more movement in her neck. Stephanie also indicated that her spirits seemed good and all vitals were stong. I asked Stephanie to please tell her hi and that I would be out as soon as the doctor said it woud be ok.

I called to check on Marilyn tonight and I was able to talk with her nurse Joyce. Joyce said that she is doing well considering. I asked Joyce if she could tell any difference since her Botox treatment and she said that she could see a slight improvement in her neck. All vitals appear to be good at this time and she seems to be resting peacefully.

Good News…
Marilyn did indeed receive her Botox treatment late this afternoon and everything appears to have gone well. It will take weeks for the overall effect to take place. Gail one of the IHC supervisors called to let me know at about 5:00 tonight!
Then at about 6:30 I received another call from Marilyn on one of the nurses phone. Marilyn wanted to let me know that all went well and wanted to check and see how I was doing. We talked for about 5-10 minutes and she seemed to be in very good spirits. She said that she had a few visitors recently Jane Martin, Barbara and Doyle & Violet Crain. I reminded her how lucky she was to have all those people that love her and she agreed. Then she ask me to please let everyone know about the Botox and that all went well and I promised her I would.

Called this morning to check on Marilyn and talked with Sherri her nurse. Sherri indicated that all is well considering even the issue with her stomach and that she was in good spirits and resting peacefully this morning.
Good News: Botox update… I talked with Gail one of the Nurse supervisors and the Botox Treatment has been rescheduled for this coming Thursday evening. For some reason the doctor did not make his normal trip to the area last week and that was the reason it got rescheduled!
Chris Roberts is on vacation until May 3rd and I’m still not able to travel according to the Doctor so if anyone has the time between now and then to visit it would be greatly appreciated.

Visited Marilyn this evening, she was awake and watching TV when I went in. Asked her if she had the Botox yet and she shook her head no. Asked if she knew what was the hold up on it and she verbalized she didn’t know.
Marilyn said that she wasn’t expecting to see me until after my vacation, told her I had to just check on her before I left, she said that she was glad I came to visit.
We chatted quite a while, she seemed to be having trouble verbalizing this evening, not all her words were coming out very clear. My daughter Tanya called while I was there and she was able to talk to her for a little bit.
Marilyn had 3 cards that I read to her.
I will be gone until May 3rd, so if anyone has some time to drop by and see Marilyn I know that she would appreciate it. Al is still not able to ride in a car yet so she may get pretty lonely. If you are able to go up check and see if she has any mail and please read it to her, they usually leave it on her little dresser by the door where the book to sign is.

Hello Everyone…Susan and I took some pictures while visiting Marilyn in March. It was the week of Easter and Marilyn was enjoying her bunny ears. Click on the picture links below to view them. Marilyn was sleeping this evening when I went in, rubbed her arm and she woke up smiling and seemed pleased to see me. I asked her if she had the Botox shot and she nodded her head yes, asked if she had one shot or more and she verbalized she couldn’t remember. Told her I was glad that she had the shot and we talked about hopefully the benefits of having the shot. One of the Aides came in and I asked her about the shot and she said the shot had not been given yet. Went to talk to Misty her nurse and she said that they were waiting for the Dr. to come by this evening. Misty said the Dr. has an after hours clinic and that he could come by as late a 8.00pm. Misty said that she understood that Marilyn would have a shot for neck and both arms.
Went back to talk to Marilyn and told her that they had not given her the Botox yet, she shrugged her shoulder and said I thought they did.
Larry and Madeline (sp) from MO were by twice this week to see Marilyn, she said she enjoyed the visit. Read her mail to her. Reminded Marilyn that I will be on vacation next week, she asked me to write on the calendar when I will be leaving and when I will get back.
I left around 7.30pm as the weather was getting bad and the Dr. had not made it yet.

I called both this morning and again this afternoon and Marilyn is doing well considering. Annette was her nurse this morning and Misty this evening. Terry Thral the Admin Assistant to Howard asked Misty if the doctor had been there to perform her Botox treatments yet and she said no that it was scheduled to be after 5:00 this evening! Inola Healthcare is supposed to call me once completed! I will update the Blog once I receive the call!

Marilyn was agitated when I went in this evening, she was really flushed but did not have a fever. I asked her if she was feeling alright and she said she was mad. Marilyn told me that her nurse had told her she was not getting the Botox shots. I talked to Misty her nurse and she said that she didn’t say that. Misty said that Marilyn has been anxious all day, wanting out of the bed, wanting to go home with Misty. I told Marilyn that I talked to Misty and Marilyn wanted her in the room. Misty came in and I said to Marilyn that she will get her shots on Thursday and Misty said that is correct. Marilyn called Misty a Liar and told her that is not what you have been telling me. I went out with Misty and apologized to her for what Marilyn was saying. Misty said not to worry she understands that Marilyn is agitated today and she was glad that I was there to visit and help calm her down.
Marilyn said that she was upset with a lot of things, I asked her what? and she said that she didn’t want to talk about it.
Marilyn kept calling out Help while I was there asking her what she needed she said I don’t know. Misty came in later and asked her if she was hurting and Marilyn said yes, she was given Tylenol. After about 30 minutes she went to sleep.
