I called to check on Marilyn today and her nurse for the day is Annette. Annette said that she is doing well and that she seemed to be in good spirits. I asked if Marilyn remebered that he Botox was scheduled for this coming Thursday and she said yes that she was aware and seemed to be looking forward to it!

Visited with Marilyn this evening as soon as went in she said that she needed to talk to Al, I called him and she asked him what she needed. She then wanted to talk to Floyd Jr. I called him and she talked to him also. I think that she got her concerns answered by talking to both of them. When I called Al and Floyd Jr. I had them on speaker so she could hear them. Marilyn was able to verbalize some this evening.
Marilyn was wanting me to change channels on the TV several times this evening, she could not find a show that she wanted to watch, as I was leaving she called me back to change the channel again before I left.
Put some chap stick on her lips for her as they were dry and put some cream on her arms before I left. Read her mail to her as she had some cards come in. She was sleepy this evening.

I called Inola Health Care to check on Marilyn and her talked with Debbie her nurse and she did indicate that Marilyn’s fever has check to be back in a normal range the last two times it has been checked. Debbie indicated that it the night was a little restless due to all the rain and that she was resting peacefully today and doing well considering.
Also, I talked with Pam the Resident RN on staff and confirmed that the Botox treatment is scheduled for next Thursday April 17th, 2008 and that should definitely help Marilyn in living a much better quality of life! This should release some of the tension on her neck and arms without having to do it by surgically cliping the tendons. This should be a lot less intrusive or invasive!

I called to check on Marilyn this afternoon and once again Terri was her nurse. She said that Marilyn was running a temperature and that they were getting Tylenol prepared to give to her to help! She also indicated that Marilyn was a little restless and Terri indicated that they would be giving her something for that as well.
Also, I talked with Terri the Admin and we have good news the Botox treatment that Marilyn has been waiting on is supposed to take place next Thursday!
I asked Terri to please let her know I called and that I send my love!
Good news on my recovery it has been two weeks today and my bandage was removed and all is going well with therapy!

Marilyn was sleeping when I got there this evening, sat by her bed for a while letting her sleep. About 15 minutes later her nurse came in to give her a breathing treatment. Marilyn said that she was cold, she had 2 blankets on and I pulled them up around her more, she said that felt better. She was not running a fever but did seem a little flushed.
Marilyn asked how the Estate sale went and I told her it went well. Then she asked if I knew what was going on at Southwestern Bell, we talked about that for a while. You could barely hear her speak tonight, had to really listen to understand her.
Don Ross had been to see her this week.
As I was leaving she called me back and said that she wanted her cell phone, I asked her if she needed to call someone and she said no she just wanted her phone. I told her that I thought it was in the safety deposit box and that I would let Al know that she wanted it.

I called to check on Marilyn this afternoon and talked with her nurse Terri. Terri said that Marilyn was doing well she did not have a temp and that she seemed to be in good spirits.
I asked to let her please know that I called to check on her and that my rehab was coming along great!
Once again I would like to encourage all friends and or family to please stay in touch and stop by to visit as this is really what keeps her spirits up. Unfortunately it will be a few more weeks before I can go out again myself!

Visited with Marilyn today, she was alert and talking quite a lot. Read her mail to her, she had quite a few cards sent to her. Asked her if her friends Carol and Larry from Texas came to visit? she said they did. Carol Sherman and Doyle and Violet Crain had also been by this week.
Marilyn asked me to put the tv control in her had to see if she could work it, we tried but she was not able to. She said that she just wanted to try. Marilyn asked how the estate sale went and I told her that it went well.

Called to check on Marilyn this morning and was able to talk to her nurse Sheree.
Sheree said that Marilyn was doing well and that she seemed to be in good spirits today. Sheree indicated that she did have a slight fever last evening but that it had dissipated at this time. I asked Sheree to please let her know that I had called to check on her and that I send my love.
Unfortunately due to Doctors orders it appears that I may not be able to travel in a car that far for some time up to 6 weeks since having my hip surgery. So I wanted to please encourage all friends and family to please stop by as often as possible.
