Marilyn was sleeping when I went into her room, tried to talk to her and she did open her eyes and say Hi. Asked her how she was feeling and she said that she had a lot of pain today, asked her where the pain was and she said all over.
I tried to read her mail to her but she couldn’t stay awake. Nurse came in asked Marilyn if she was comfortable, and she said yes. Nurse told her she needed to try and stay awake as she had company, she said I’m trying. Nurse asked Marilyn who I was and she Chris my best-est friend, we all laughed about the best-est part. Nurse said that she has been really confused the last couple of days and having some difficult emotional times. Nurse did say that she would be wide awake later on in the night, as she has been doing that lately. Marilyn went back to sleep and I could not wake her to tell her bye. Left just before 8.00pm

I called to check on Marilyn this morning and talked with Sherie. Sherie said that yesterday was a rather tough day and that Marilyn was even talking about the wreck. Today she said that she is doing much better and seems to be in good spirits. Overall she seems to be doing well considering. I asked Sherie to please let her know that I called to check on her and to let her know I will be out to see her as soon as return!

Visited Marilyn today, she was really sleepy and could not wake up. One time she opened her eyes and mouthed Hi. Tried talked to her but she was really sleeping.
I talked to the nurse and mentioned that Marilyn was really sleeping, she said that she was really really restless all day yesterday and is most probably just wore out. I asked if she had a whirlpool bath today, as I know that can make her sleep a lot afterwards, nurse said no.
Marilyn’s nephew Richard visited with her all day Thursday and Friday.
I rearranged some of her cards and I stayed for about 11/2 hours and left.

I called Inola to check in on Marilyn this morning and talked with both Debbie and also Sherie her nurse for the day. Both Debbie and Sherie said that she is doing well considering. No major changes at this time and in very good spirits today. No major changes in regards to the Botox treatment (however, it has allowed the nurses to treat behind her neck)!

Marilyn was awake and watching TV, asked her if she enjoyed her visit with her brother Claire and Margot, she smiled and said “yes I did”. I told her I had heard about her new jacket and she told me that it was in the closet. Margot made Marilyn a lovely jacket, made it so it will tie down the back with 3/4 sleeves. Marilyn had asked Margot some time back if she could make her one. Marilyn told me there was a skirt to match the jacket somewhere. Marilyn said that she really liked the jacket.
Nurses came in to turn Marilyn and she told them she did not want to be turned as she had company, I told the nurses that it was fine that they could turn her while I was there. Marilyn said after they left “why did you do that, I didn’t want to be turned” told her that it was really important for her to be turned so she won’t get bed sores.
We visited for quite a while this evening, she was not falling to sleep as much. Reminded Marilyn that Richard her nephew would be in this week to visit for a couple of days, she asked me to bring the calendar over and show her what days he would be here.

Marilyn was somewhat confused this evening. When I went in she said are you still here, told her I just got here and she said oh no you didn’t. Later she kept asking for her green shorts and tie, I asked her what she needed them for and she said that she just wanted to be sure they were here. I told her that they were here and she seemed satisfied. Then she wanted me to change channels on the TV several times, she said she didn’t know what she wanted to watch, she eventually settled for the family channel.
Her nurse said that she has been this way of and on today. I have not noticed much difference in her neck. The roll of towels that is usually under her neck was over by her head, I asked her why it was there and she said that is where she wanted it. Told her that I needed to check with the nurse and she told me to please just leave it as that is what she wanted.
Reminded Marilyn that Claire and Margot would be here tomorrow and she said good.

Tanya was in for testing this past week and we just got the test results back. They found that her kidneys are only working at about 20%. Renal issues are common in her family as it is hereditary.
Tanya goes in for additional testing to include a kidney biopsy this morning please keep her in your prayers.

Marilyn was really aggitated this evening when I went in she kept saying let’s go I want out of here, I told her if I could get her out of here I would. She kept saying yes you can let’s go let’s go. I tried to calm her down and showed her more vacation pictures and we talked about them. She said she was up in the chair today and liked that.
Remined her that Claire and Margot would be here soon and she said maybe they will get me out of here.
Marilyn wanted to talk to Misty her nurse and I went to find her, she was on break told Marilyn that she would be here soon.
Marilyn didn’t want me to leave this evening and I stayed till around 7.45pm.

I went out to see Marilyn this past Saturday and to wish her a Happy Mothers Day and she was doing really well considering. I was able to get Floyd Jr. on the line during my visit and he too was able to wish her a Happy Mothers Day! I took her a beautiful Mothers day card and Angel statue from all of us.
Since my Doctors release this past Thursday it was nice to let her know that all is well and that I’m on the road to recovery. I did let her know that I would be returning back to San Diego this week and would be gone for a while since not being there for almost two months.
I reminded her that her nephew, brother and sister in-law would be here this week and she smiled and said that she was very much looking forward to their visit!

Marilyn was sleeping when I went to visit this evening, I sat for a while and then said Hi and she woke up. She asked how long I had been there and I told her about 15 minutes. She seemed very sleepy this evening. I asked her how her neck was doing and she said OK. A towel was under the right side of her head, I did not see that her head has straightened up any, maybe it takes longer to see some results.
We talked of and on about the storms we had last night and she said there was lots of lightening and rain. she was really sleepy I asked her if she wanted me to let her sleep and she shook her head yes. I left around 7.30pm
