I went out this morning early to visit Marilyn.
I dropped by to see the nursing staff and to give them some honey buns and candy just to say thanks for taking special care of her.
When I arrived the nurses had just started the process of giving her a bath. Once they finished and got her settled back in her room I went back in to visit and check on her. She was resting and only after a while did she even wake only for about 2 minutes enough for me to stop in and say hello. I stayed for a while longer and was not successful on getting her to awaken again.
Update on Tanya’s surgery we are still scheduled for November the 6th at St. Francis.
Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support.

Marilyn was sleeping soundly this evening. I could not get her to wake up. Rubbed her arm, called her name but she did not stir at all.
Her face seemed flushed and bloated as did her stomach this evening. I sat by her bed for approx 45 minutes and left as she couldn’t wake up.

Marilyn was sleeping when I went in this evening, she did finally open her eyes and smiled. She asked what was new. We talked for a little while, but she was having a hard time keeping her eyes open. I asked her if she enjoyed having Dee her with her the last few days and she verbalized I sure did.
Marilyn’s sister Dee has been visiting with Marilyn for a few days. Marilyn had some lovely flowers from Dean and Katie, I read the card and held the flowers so she could see them better. Marilyn said they are lovely.
We talked about the Presidential debate being on tonight and she said that she wanted to watch it, I put the TV on the a channel that it will be on before I left.
Marilyn’s skin looked good, but she did seem a little flushed. Her stomach did not seem as bloated this evening.
Doyle and Virginia had been to visit also.

Marilyn was sleeping when I went in this evening, I rubbed her arm and she immediately woke up. She smiled and mouthed Hi. I read her mail, it took a little while as she kept falling asleep, but we eventually got it done. Marilyn was not able to verbalize very much this evening just a word here and there.
I asked her if she enjoyed her visit with her sister Chris and she smiled and shook her head yes. Told her that Dee wld be up at the end of the week and she nodded that she knew that.
When she was awake she appeared alert and wanted to talk. Her bed had been moved to angle more toward the window, I asked her if she was able to see out the window, and was that the reason they shifted her bed. She looked at me very puzzled, I asked her if she realized her bed was moved and she shook her head no. Her TV was also turned off. Before I left I asked her if she wanted the TV on and she said that she was tired of the TV, and to leave it off.
Marilyn’s stomach seemed very bloated this evening, her skin looked good. Checked her ankles, she did have a dressing on her right ankle, I could not see any sores on her feet.
Left around 7.15 as it was staring to get a little dark outside. She was fine when I left and said come back soon to see me.

Tanya and I went to Inola today to visit Marilyn and she was doing well considering. Sherri was her nurse and she said that Chris Kelly had been there for the past few days and that Marilyn had been doing well.
We talked to Marilyn and she was very alert and talkative the whole time we where there. We let her know that Tanya’s surgery is scheduled for November 6th at St. Francis. I also told her about getting to see Dean & Katie and she smiled. She wanted to know how Daniel was doing with his football and we let him know that they had a rather rough game yesterday but they gave it their best. Marilyn did ask if she could be moved so we asked Sherri to please move her and she moved her and gave her a new container of food along with some Lori-tab to help comfort her before we left.
Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support!

Marilyn was sleeping when I went in this evening, she did finally wake up and seemed cheerful. Did manage to finish reading her sister Dee’s letter to her and she is excited about Dee coming to visit her.
Her skin looked good, Marilyn said that she had her hair washed today as well. I did check her ankles and the sores have healed up that were on her feet and legs.
Marilyn didn’t stay awake to long, she said that she was not hurting and felt OK.

Marilyn was sleeping soundly when I visited this evening. I tried to wake her but couldn’t, sat with her for about 30 minutes. I was leaving and talked to one of the nurses and told her that I could not wake Marilyn, she said she was going to turn her. I went back in her room and she did wake up when they turned her. Started to read her letter from her sister Dee, but she fell asleep again so I let her be. I will finish reading the letter next time I go up. If anyone goes to visit I left the letter on the sign in book in her room. Marilyn’s color was good, she did seem quite bloated this evening.

Marilyn was awake this evening when I stopped by to visit. She immediately said, get me the hell out of here. I asked her what was going on and she said that she wants to go home, she is tired of being there. I tried to explain the best that I could to her that she could not go home because of the ventilator. Marilyn’s nurse Sherri came in to geive her a breathing treatment, and she said she was glad that she had some company. She said that Marilyn had been wanting to go home all day. Marilyn had a letter and a card that I read to her, had to borrow Marilyn’s glasses to read them. Marilyn did give me permission to use her glasses. After reading her mail and putting her glasses back she told me to take her glasses off and put them up. Told her that I already did that, she said no take them of her. Showed her that they were in the closet and she was finally satisfied.
Marilyn stayed awake the whole visit this evening and she didn’t want me to leave. Told her that it was starting to get dark and I needed to get back on the road as it would be dark before I got home. She asked me to get Sherri, reminded her that Sherri had gone home for the day and she would be back tomorrow. Marilyn said send anyone in here then I need to be suctioned. On the way out I asked a nurse if she could suction Marilyn.

I went and visited Marilyn today and she was doing great considering. She was alert and in great spirits and was very upbeat today. She was doing better today than she had been for weeks. I was very pleased to see how great she was doing. I’m sorry I have not posted after my past few visits as I have been running a little too much between the kids and wife.
I was able to read a card from both Margot and her sister Chris and I taped them up with the others. We visited for some time and she was awake most of most my visit. We even talked about the new Republican Ticket and that how amazing it was to watch God in his efforts to save our Nation. I let her know how awesome it was to see two people that are dedicated to saving our country and cleaning up the White house. I stayed and talked with Marilyn and the nurses today and made sure that she was comfortable before taking off.
Thanks again everyone for your continued love, prayers and support.

Marilyn was awake when I went in this evening, she smiled and said hi. We talked quite a bit about 911 and she verbalized that she didn’t realize it happened 7 years ago. We talked about the weather and all the rain we are having. She asked for some chap stick to be put on. Her skin looked good and cared for. Her stomach was bloated this evening.
Marilyn said that she was hurting and needed a nurse, I asked her where she was hurting and she said all over. I got Michelle her nurse to come in. Michelle told Marilyn that she just gave her some meds about 30 minutes ago and that she felt sure they should be kicking in by now. Marilyn said oh OK and closed her eyes and went to sleep. I sat beside her for about another 15-20 minutes and then I left.
