Marilyn Visit update…
Went out to visit Marilyn yesterday afternoon and she was a little restless. Her blood pressure was a little low according to Stephanie. Annette her daytime nurse was just going off and Stephanie her 3-11 nurse was just coming on.
We tried to get her comfortable the two plus hours I was there so she could rest and they finally had to give some pain reliever to comfort her. She kept saying that she wanted to get up and go to a different chair I had to remind her that she was in the same room and same air mattress bed that she had been in since Dad passed. She said that she was not sure of that but finally said ok once I pointed out that several things where proof like room # and view etc.
I took the stereo back to her that Robin Campbell-Nalley from Remax was so nice to have bought for her and dad. She had asked me to take it to the house along with the other little TV that she had used. Then last week she decided that she wanted it along with her CD’s so I brought them both. I was able to run down the Optometrist that her and dad had gone to prior to the accident and ordered her some new glasses. They were ready Friday so I went and picked them up and took them to her. She was pleased to see them but did not want to wear them for more than about 5 minutes. I left them in the upper cabinet in the right hand corner. She seemed to get a little irritated with me when I asked her where she wanted me to put them she kept saying her purse and I had to remind her that she did not have a purse there. That it was in the Safety Deposit Box.
I let her know that I was leaving this coming Tuesday and that a lot of her Family to include Dad’s would be coming in to see her the next weekend. She seemed very pleased to know that and was looking forward to it. I also let her know that I had been by to check on the house and Donna’s progress for arranging their Estate Sale and that she was doing a great job.
Once we did get her calmed down and little more relaxed we talked about the room situation again. That was when she informed us that she did not sleep very well the night before due to noise from accross the hall. Stephanie reminded her how fortunate she was to have a private room so that she did not have to put up with all that noise more frequently and she agreed and them seemed to get even more calm. We told her since she had very little sleep the night before that was probably part of the reason for her anxiety and being restless and she then agreed and seemed to be more at peace.
Thanks again for your continued prayers and support!
